About the Artist
Born and raised in Langley, BC, Canada but moved to Vancouver BC, Canada in her early 20's. Her inspiration comes from the world around her and other artists such as Picasso. She also draws inspiration from graffiti artist and street art. She mainly focuses on oil and acrylic paintings, but has recently been experimenting with spray paint in her works as well. She is a self taught artist who works out of her home studio or her studio in Chilliwack. When she is not producing new works of art you will find her travelling the world and looking for ideas for her next peice.
Her other interests include traveling, animals (especially dogs), food, outdoor activities and exploring cultural events close to home. She has a Polish and Russian background which influence her art style. When she's not in the studio she is either hiking the local mountains or attending local events.
Exhibitions
Art Show on Sixth Street
Vanessa has had exhibits at the gallery on 42 Sixth Street in New Westminster. The exhibit was a solo art show in support of mental health awareness and the BC Children’s Hospital. The exhibit featured 20 oil paintings depicting celebrities. Local handcrafted wine from pacific Breeze Urban Winery was provided to gallery attendees.
